Book an appointment for a customer
Book someone in by phone or at the desk, using only times that are really free.
Book an appointment
- Step 1: Open Appointments and click Book appointment (or press N anywhere).
- Step 2: Choose the Service, the Staff member (or Any) and the Date.
- Step 3: Click Find times. Only times that are genuinely free are shown.
- Step 4: Click the time you want.
- Step 5: Under Customer, start typing their name, email or phone and pick them from the list.
- Step 6: New customer? Click New customer and fill in their name, plus their email so they get a confirmation and reminders.
- Step 7: Click the Book button (it shows the time you picked, for example Book 14:30).
Tip: If you enter an email that is already on file, the booking is added to that existing customer, so you will not create duplicates.
Book a repeating appointment
You need Recurring bookings switched on in Settings.
- Step 1: Follow the steps above until you have picked a time and a customer.
- Step 2: Tick Repeat this appointment.
- Step 3: Choose the Frequency (daily, weekly or monthly) and the Number of times, including the first one.
- Step 4: Click Book. Any dates that clash are skipped, and you are told how many.
Good to know: Every date is checked for clashes, working hours, time off, closures and booking limits. Dates that do not fit are skipped, and the message tells you how many and why.
Book from the calendar instead
You can also click an empty slot on the Calendar or use New appointment there. If the time is outside working hours, in blocked time or on a closed day, Bookwick tells you why and asks before booking. Click Book anyway to squeeze someone in, or Choose another time.
